Description
Montecristo Pilotico Pepe Mendez Toro cigars are medium-bodied with an Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper, Dominican binder, and Dominican Pilotico & Nicaraguan filler tobacco. This exceptional cigar pays tribute to the remarkable journey of Jose “Pepe” Mendez, who nearly half a century ago discovered the fertile lands of “El Cibao” in the Dominican Republic. This region, known for its rocky terrain and fertile soil, provided the perfect conditions for growing tobacco. Here, Pepe Mendez planted his cherished Pilotico™ seeds, setting the stage for a legacy. In a touching homage to his grandfather, Siegfried Mendez, the Tobacco Director at Jose Mendez & Co., replanted the original Pilotico seeds in the Navarette region of the Dominican Republic. This region has been under the Mendez family’s stewardship since the early 1960s. Handcrafted at the prestigious Tabacalera de García cigar factory in La Romana, Dominican Republic, this cigar is blended by the Grupo de Maestros, the same master blending team responsible for crafting other world-renowned brands like Romeo y Julieta, H. Upmann, and VegaFina. As one of the world’s most respected leaders in the premium cigar world, Montecristo Pilotico Pepe Mendez cigars are indeed true masterpieces. So, take a moment to indulge in the exceptional quality and craftsmanship of Montecristo Pilotico Pepe Mendez Toro, a truly extraordinary cigar.
